Nearby attractions include, Lake Oconee, Shoulderbone Creek Historical marker and Grist Mill. Rock Hawk Effigy and trail, Lawrence shoals boat launch and Briar Rose 9 hole golf course are also nearby. Shown here is a member fishing while canoeing on Lake Oconee. Next is the mill pond and falls at the grist mill, one mile from the farm. It was built by my great, great grandfather and still stands as a local historical landmark. It is also the site of the treaty signed by the Creek and Cherokee Indians. An historical marker is on this site. Lundy creek is also seen here. One mile of it winds its way along the eastern border of my sister’s property, which adjoins ours and Whitten Creek bounds Mockingbird Hill, allowing for wildlife sighting. Deer, beaver, lots of turkeys, cayotees, ducks and other animals enjoy the property.
